The club has purchased 3 new portable floodlights to improve our practice conditions at John Oliver Park. The lights were bought by coach Wayne Davis who was kind enough to pay for the lights with the understanding that the club will pay him back. We will be opening a Go Fund Me account to help us pay back Wayne as soon as possible. More details will be posted soon. This was a significant investment that we really need our alumni and supporters to help us with to cover the cost. We are still working with the City of Delta with planning improvements at John Oliver Park but we really needed to improve the lighting now to keep the growth of the club moving in a positive way, especially with our new Junior rugby teams.
The Van 7's are coming up fast again. BC Place will be rocking with Rugby, Feb 21st to 23rd. The Brit Lions always have some top costumes and this year will be no different. Rumour has it that our Junior section will be rocking the hair metal vibe while the Seniors may be paying homage to our great Canadian, Mike Myers - party on Wayne and watch out for any Piper's doon. The club was too late to secure our own seat allocation this year, but General Admission, section 252 has always been a favoured spot for our club. Tickets are available at https://vansevens.com/
Mini rugby will be starting again in late February. More information on practices and jamborees will be coming soon.
Due to our weird home schedule our Spring Alumni Day will be on April 5th. The Senior Men will play Kelowna in a make up game from the Fall season.
