Brit Lions Rugby Club

The Brit Lions are one of the oldest ,continuous running rugby clubs in BC. The club began playing in 1928, so we are now in our 95th anniversary season. The Brit Lions came about when the Ex-Britannia and the Red Lions rugby clubs merged in 1992. The club maintained their East Vancouver roots until a decision was made in 2001 to relocate the club to the John Oliver Park facility in Delta. 

Our club has had many outstanding players, with over 50 men and women representing BC and Canada through the years. We have also had the fortune to win many trophies over the years at the 1st, 2nd,and 3rd division levels, by our men’s and women’s teams. 

The club has faced many challenges since we relocated but we are determined to grow rugby participation in Delta with the goal to achieve our Centenary celebration in 2028.
